Jake and I started noticing that
Crista had so many toys
around the house that she didn't play with anymore.
And if you know me in real life, you know
I hate clutter!!!
So we asked Crista to go through her toys
and pull out anything she didn't play with anymore
or didn't want anymore.
Anything that she ok-ed to go got put in a box and
"sold"
(we actually took it to good*will and gave her some money).
She was allowed to take the money that she made
and purchase a new toy that she wanted to replace the
old ones.
Crista was really great and weeded out enough toys
to fill the back of our car!!
So we took off for toys*r*us and
Crista decided quickly (with a little steering from Daddy & Mama)
that she wanted a new bike.
She was SO cute riding her new pink bike!
I think she'll tell you that she made a good choice
giving up her old toys for her new bike!
And we couldn't be more proud of her!!

I am dragging my feet on a bike for Sophia...it's one more big girl thing to replace her baby stuff...just stalling trying to pretend she is still a baby!
wonderful idea! we should do that at our house. Your Crista is quite mature to be able to decide to give up some toys. she looks like a big girl on her new bike. great camera shots too!

awesome nothing is better then a bike! maya's wants to upgrade to a hello kitty one, but I told her no new bikes until she is done with training wheels. We still pack up toys and stuffed animals and send the bos to Vanessa so she can give them to people in Guatemala.
