Pool Party!!

Today Crista's friends gathered to celebrate her 6th birthday!

As in true Crista fashion,

she had this pool party planned since her last birthday
(my idea for an Art Party was completely overridden!)

Crista was excited to have a pool party with her friends

and the day couldn't have gone any better!

Crista is blessed with some amazing little friends!!

We went with a "summer" theme

and had hot dogs & chips, watermelon, boiled peanuts

and these snow cone cupcakes.

I loved how they turned out :-)

Crista, as usual,

was a gracious and loving big sister.

She held Addie Grace up so she could help blow out the candles

and she let Addie open each present with her.

I love Crista's heart and her love for her sister

and  how she wants to share each moment with her!

My happy birthday girl.

This party is exactly how she wanted it.

Water fun!

Addie's become quite the little fish this summer

and loves swimming by herself.

All summer Crista has asked for one thing.

Snorkel gear.

And today, she got what she asked for.

And loved it!

And just to prove that Crista really did have the sweetest Kindergarten teacher...

before school was out we started making up her invite list.

I asked her to start naming who she wanted to invite to her party.

The first person she said was, "Ms Kerrie!"

I warned her she would get an invite

and told her she didn't have to come

since it was a kid's party.

But she assured me she would be there

and Crista was looking forward to having her

special friend at her party all summer!

It was a memorable day for Crista

for so many reasons.

I'm so very thankful that she has friends (little and big)

who love her and celebrate with her!
