Goin' On A God Hunt!
Here's the conversation I had with Crista yesterday...
C: Mama, where is God?
Me: Well, He's everywhere!
C: Oh! Let's go find Him!!
So I promised my inquisitive child that we would
indeed go find Him
after church today. So Crista and I went on a God hunt!
for anything
that might remind her of God.
She immediately
pointed to the light in our side yard.
"Yes, Crista! God sent Jesus as a light into the world!"
We searched a little longer and found
a white rock
and I explained that we all do things we shouldn't do
and that makes us dirty.
But God forgives us and washes us so we can be
clean like the white rock!
It just happened to be blue,
her favorite color...
and she was delighted!
"Crista, God loves to give you gifts
"Crista, God loves to give you gifts
and He knows how happy
it makes you to find little
blue treasures!"
ONE
tree with tiny little buds on them.
The hope of new growth.
The hope that spring is coming.
The hope that God will renew us
The hope that God will renew us
each day!
Crista found
a walking stick.
"It's helping me walk, Mama!"
Just like God helps us when we
ask
Him too!
we sat in the
big swing together.
We talked about all our treasures from our
God hunt.
"So, Crista...where IS God?"
"Mama, He's EVERYWHERE!!"
Crista and I talked more about this and
Crista and I talked more about this and
I informed her
that God can live
in her heart
and all she has to do
is ask.
So my inquisitive, precious, tender hearted
little girl
prayed
that God would come and live in her heart.
WOW!!

That is the coolest idea and the best post I have ever seen. LOVE it! I am going to go on a little God hunt myself.
What a blessing.
BTW...You said you live on 9 acres...we live on a chunk of land too, isn't it awesome?? Drop me an email sometime :)
Oh that is precious! :) I love children's innocence and FAITH!

Praising, praising, praising Jesus for Crista's sweet prayer. He DOES live in her heart!
That just makes me cry!! If you don't mind, would you send me your e-mail address so I can fill you in on our adoption story? Thanks! :-)
Wow that is such a great idea. My son asked me that when he was two years old. He is also very in inquisitive. At two I was so suprised that he even thought like that. I will have to try that even now when he is seven.
I love your blog and Crista is beautiful. My son is also from Guatemala.
