Mamaw & Papaw's Visit!

Mamaw and Papaw
came down on one of their
fast and furious visits.
That means,
they drive all night Wednesday and into Thrusday
so they'll be ready to start the day with us
that morning.
They'll stay until Sunday and then drive
all the way back...
12 hrs minimum...
so they can be back at work on Monday.
I know they are completely worn out
after one of these weekends,
but we sure do love their sacrifice!

We started off our time together
by showing Mamaw & Papaw
our homeschooling group!
Crista was so excited to have them come in her class!

Crista had planned for weeks
for Mamaw and Papaw
to be her presentation
that day!
She made a sign and all in
preparation
(you can see it taped on the board).

After our schooling was done for the day,
we did a little geocaching!

 As usual,
Addie Grace thought the swag was
the greatest!
 At one of the caches,
we found this cool water pump
and had a little impromptu
history lesson.
Hands on history
is the best kind of history :-)

The whole weekend,
the weather was just perfect.
We definitely took advantage of it
and played outside as much as possible.

We stumbled across a really cool park
a couple of towns over from us.
The kids loved it!

During their visit,
Mamaw and Papaw
treated Addie Grace to a birthday gift,
since we weren't able to be together on her actual
birthday back in December.
Addie was told she could pick out
whatever gift she'd like.
Addie Grace knew EXACTLY what she wanted.
There was no hesitation
and certainly no talking her out of it.
She.Wanted.Make-up.
Yes, I'm aware she's 4.
But a girl wants what a girl wants!
And since I tell her no
each and every time we
pass the makeup isle,
I knew this would be extra special for her.

And it was super special!
You'll have to check back tomorrow
to see her makeover pictures...haha!

We had an awesome visit,
even though its always too short.
We're counting down the days until
our vacation this summer when we go up
and see everyone in Indiana!
