Blessed

The girls are lucky.

They have a group of friends

they love hanging out with.

The ages are mixed,

but they all get along so well.

During the summers,

when there are no children's programs at the church,

these 5 are the constant in the nursery

while all the parents help out with the youth activities.

They've dubbed themselves,

"The Nursery Club".

 

Last night,

the Nursery Club

got together for a little

cookie-decorating fun!



 

 

 

 

Then we packaged the cookies up

and delivered them to several people in our church.

 

We loaded up in the back of the pickup

and off we went!

It was unreal how warm it was here this weekend!

Yesterday it was in the 80's!

We were in short sleeves and flip flops!

 

 

The girls also wowed the crowds

with a few

Christmas carols.

After delivering cookies,

eating pizza

and exchanging gifts,

we piled back in the pickup

and went to see the Christmas lights.

Next year,

the ladies are driving and the guys can 

ride in the back

with the monkeys! 

 

I'm so thankful we had an opportunity

to re-focus on the true meaning of Christmas.

Seeing a few tears from some of our recipients

meant we blessed a few hearts last night.

And as always,

when we bless others,

we, in turn, are blessed!
