Lately

Lately,
we've been up to lots of fun.
I haven't blogged much from the spring
so this is a quick catch-up.
This is what we've been up to
lately...

Making sushi at home.
Its super fun and
super yummy!

Crista loves sushi just as much
as Jake and I do
but we rarely allow the kids
to join us on our "Sushi Date Nights".
She loves making it at home,
staying up a little late
and crashing our date!

Addie Grace isn't too fond of sushi {yet}.
So we make her
peanut butter and jelly sushi instead.

Lately,
we've been enjoying the outdoors
as much as possible
before it gets too hot.
We love exploring family land
and seeing what treasures we can find.

A massive hornet's nest.
Uninhabited, thankfully!

We found a mess of turnips growing.
They sure made some good eating
that night!
 Lately,
we enjoyed Easter at our church.
Its one of my favorite times of celebrating
in the church!

And afterwards we had a good old fashioned
Easter egg hunt!

We
(Uncle Marcus and I)
had no mercy on the kids
and hid the eggs pretty well.
The kids are expert finders, though,
and only needed help finding
the hardest hid eggs.

Lately,
the girls have been going back and forth
between playing
"Aunt Addie" (house)
and Princess dress-up.
I love watching their imaginations in action!

Lately,
we finished up our second year of CC
and ended the school year with a huge celebration
at the local park.
There were lots of games, food and grins that night!
We are so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful
homeschooling community!

Lately,
the girls have been enjoying their new trampoline.
They've also been enjoying lots of fun time with friends.
They've also been enjoying lots of fun times with friends
ON
their new trampoline!

Lately,
we were able to celebrate Mother's Day
over at the Pond House.
It was glorious.
And hot

We found a large patch of wild blackberries
ready for picking
over at the Pond House.
We had a fun afternoon filling up our container
with juicy berries!
Enough for a yummy batch of blackberry jelly!

Lately,
we've felt incredibly blessed.
We are enjoying this phase of life
very much with the girls
and look forward to many summer adventures!
