This year we decided to put the girls
in Awanas
at a local church.
We actually use the Awana's material
as a Bible class in our homeschooling.
Jake and I have been so impressed with the program
and how much scripture
the girls memorized!
Crista was in the T and T class.
That stands for Truth and Training
and its for 3-5 graders.
The amount of scripture she now knows
is impressive
and the book work she completed
was really fun.
Each week the kids can earn "Awana Bucks"
for having their verses memorized and bringing their Bible.
At the end of the year,
the kids have an opportunity to spend their Awana Bucks at the
Awana Store.
I am so proud to say that Crista had the third highest amount of Awana Bucks
and was able to purchase some pretty amazing things
at the store!
She even gave another girl some of her
Awana Bucks
because the girl really wanted an Easy Bake Oven
but didn't have quite enough Awana Bucks
to purchase it.
I love Crista's generous heart!
This is all she came home with...
Addie Grace was in the Cubbie class
and although they didn't earn
Awana Bucks,
the treasure she received
is far more precious than stuffed animals or toys.
She not only completed her book,
memorizing each verse each week,
she also memorized all of Crista's verses as well!
Her treasure is being stored up in heaven!
I am so proud of both of my girls
and the hard work they put into their studies.
We are looking forward to starting another year of Awanas in the fall!
