The action never stops around here!
We are fortunate to find ourselves in
some pretty neat circumstances
since we started homeschooling.
This day was no different.
I found out
Hollywood was
on my street,
filming the
Left Behind Kids movie.
Pretty neat for living in a sleepy
little town like ours!
So, I called up our Adventure Buddies,
and headed down to the set
to see what we could see.
They had filmed at our friend's house earlier in the day
so we were able to walk right up to it
for pictures.
You can still see how they had it all set up for the scene.
A second location.
You can see our church in the left background!
Another scene from the movie.
They filmed this the day before.
We started walking up to where they were currently filming,
wondering how close we could get.
That's when we were stopped.
By a big-wig from LA.
But instead of turning us away,
he called for an escort
and gave us front row seats for the taping!
It was such a neat experience,
watching them film the scene several times.
We spoke with the hair and makeup artists
and found out 3 of the 4 characters
were actually famous in the tween scene.
I think they were filming a scene
from the post-rapture.
There wasn't a whole lot of dialogue
and our escort
said that all that taping would produce
about a 10 second clip in the movie.
Of all our fun adventures
we've had
with our Adventure Buddies,
this one,
by far,
was the coolest!

What fun! It's so cool to see the behind the scenes stuff like that.
