Spring Break!

For Crista's first Spring Break

we decided to take a little overnight trip to the

Jacksonville Zoo.

I'm not sure what they were most excited about...

the zoo or spending the night in a hotel!

The girls were so excited about sleeping together in the same bed.

It took Addie Grace a little while to settle down

but they both did fall asleep

and looked soooo sweet sleeping together!

(Crista informed me she would NOT be sleeping with Addie Grace again.

Ever.

" 'Cause she kept kicking me and taking my pillow!")

We made it to the zoo bright and early!

And although it was super chilly to start with,

the girls were extra excited to see all the animals.

I have to admit that Crista continues to shock me daily.

My scary cat daughter has decided that she

kinda

likes animals now.

Starting with the Stingrays.

She actually petted one!

And all I could think of was that huge pointy barb on the end of them.

Crista didn't seem to notice though :-)

And then it was the giraffes.

She actually fed one.

By herself.

And loved it!

And we can't forget the goats!

Both girls got in on brushing the goats.

But the butterflies were Crista's favorite!

She would just sit and watch them,

mesmerized by them!

It was really really neat to see so many butterflies fluttering in the air.

But Addie's favorite part of the day was by far

the carousel.

She kept this grin on her face the entire ride.

And fussed when the ride was over.

Daddy being funny :-)

We love our Daddy!!

All in all we had a great 2 days in Florida!

The girls are already talking about

their next trip to the zoo!
