No Training Wheels!!

Crista had been asking for months to

learn to ride her bike

big kid style...with no training wheels.

Crista and I plotted to surprise Jake

by learning to ride while he was away for the weekend.

We started on Saturday morning

and took the training wheels off of her little bike.

Crista got frustrated that she couldn't get it right away.

So after trying over and over again,

we decided to take a break, and a nap,

and see what happened after she woke up.

And you know what??

She got back on her bike after that nap

and took off!!

The very first try she got it!

(and no, she didn't hit that tree!)

After gaining her confidence,

she tried her big bike and

she was so excited that she could ride without those training wheels!

She rode the rest of the day and most of Sunday too.

Boy was Jake surprised when he got home! 

And little sis Addie Grace

was Crista's biggest cheerleader!
