At Home In Indiana

This summer was our year
to head up to Indiana
for vacation!
We always love going home,
enjoying time with family and friends.
This year was no different,
except we tried not to plan too
many activities
and decided to just stay close to
Mamaw and Papaw's instead.
It was a great idea
and we headed home feeling refreshed!

Most of the week
the girls could be found in
"the woods"
in Mamaw and Papaw's backyard.

The girls enjoyed picnics,
bear hunts,
and camp outs
among their many adventures.
I'm pretty sure they lived in their bathing suits the
whole week!

We also really enjoyed
Mamaw and Papaw's new
covered back porch.
Whether we were just sitting and chatting,
eating our supper
or singing,
it seemed to be the gathering place for the family
all week.

As perfectly content as we were to
stay at the
homeplace all week,
we did venture out a little
to enjoy more family and friends.
We always look forward to a cookout
at Aunt Pat and Aunt Gail's house.
All the cousins get to play together
(although we were missing a few this year).

We had lots to celebrate this year
with the new arrival of Baby Audra
and the impending arrival of Baby Vivien
(who came in July).

Had to get the obligatory cousins picture!

One thing you should know about our kids,
if you come to play with the Browns,
you will leave either wet or filthy
or better yet...
muddy!
Guaranteed.
So when it started to rain,
what else are the kids to do
except play in the rain!

Everyone loves Aunt Pat!

We were also able to
spent some time in the town we used to live in.
Those 6 years in that town were the best in our 12 years of marriage!
We made some amazing friends
and expanded our family twice while we were there.
That little town
will always hold a very special place in our hearts!

Our time with Ronnie and Nana
is always fun.
The girls just adore them both
and Jake and I value the friendship we have with them!

You may remember Crista's first BFF, Jean.
Crista used to spend every Wednesday with Jean and Glen
from the time she turned one until we moved when she was 4.
Wednesdays were her special days
and she still talks about her
adventures she had over there.

 Every week,
Crista would bring Lovie and Georgie (the monkey)
with her to Jeans
and once there
they would find Mousie.
Those three toys were a favorite...
by Crista and Jean.
So it was only right to reunite them!
Crista insisted on doing a photo shoot with the three friends!

We stopped by to see Reese and Hudson.
I started babysitting Reese when she was 6 months old.
Kept them both until a few months before we moved.
We have some pretty great memories together!

We left Indiana at the end of the week
with full and happy hearts!
It was a wonderfully relaxing trip
and we can't wait for our next trip up!
We are so blessed!

Those are some happy kids. In the woods, dirty and having fun, that's how we roll. Wasn't that little boy the one you took a picture of with the blue blanket part way over his head? Glad you had such a wonderful time!
