Meeting Biscuit

Addie has a new favorite...

Biscuit!

Addie Grace hasn't been too interested in books until lately,

and thanks to this adorable pup.

She can't get enough of these books

and squeals with excitement when we go to the library

and find a new one.

When I heard our library was hosting

a huge children's event,

with the author of the Biscuit books as one of their featured guests,

and Biscuit himself...

well, I knew we had to go!

Addie Grace was so excited and kept asking for Biscuit.

We found him right away

and was able to get our picture taken with him.

Addie kept waving to him and saying "Hi Biscuit!"

but would freak out if he got too close or if he tried to touch her.

I'm glad Addie got to meet her favorite book character! 

Addie also got a book signed by the author, Alyssa Capucilli.

See that huge frown on Addie's face?

Boy was she mad when the author took the book away from her to sign it.

She told Ms Capucilli,

"NO!  MY Biscuit!"

Nice manners, huh?!

After meeting Biscuit and getting a book signed,

we walked around the festival

taking in the sights.

It was a beautiful fall day 

and there was lots of fun activities for the kids. 

The girls' favorite activity was hands down

the dot paint.

It was really cool

and something both girls could do

with little help from the grown-ups.

An added plus.
