This morning
one of our favorite couples from our church
called to see if we would like to come out and
feed their baby goats.
They have triplets...
Max, Charlotte and Penny...
and their poor mama died
just last night.
Since we've never bottle fed a goat before,
we were
quick
to say yes!
Addie Grace is not an animal lover.
She begs for a dog,
almost daily,
but is so insanely scared of them.
She can't understand why we keep saying no to her :-)
Once we arrived at the farm
Addie sought the highest place she could find
so the goats wouldn't "get her".
Crista,
on the other hand,
is an animal lover.
She was a little hesitant at first,
since she's never been around a goat before.
But once she realized just how docile and sweet they were
she jumped right in and started feeding them.
Addie Grace did,
finally,
warm up to the baby goats.
She even fed them too...
as long as they were held tight.
After they all had their bellies filled,
they wanted to cuddle.
Crista scooped Charlotte up on her lap
and she just loved on that baby goat.
It didn't take long before
Crista put that sweet Charlotte right to sleep!
This was the closest Addie Grace
came to holding any of the goats.
Its progress!
Although she did say,
rather emphatically,
that she would
"definitely sleep with a goat every night
in her bed"
if that was HER goat.
{she's a big talker!}
{she's a big talker!}
We had a wonderful experience feeding the babies
and Crista offered to goat-sit if they ever
needed someone.
We'll definitely go back and help out again!

Oh my goodness! These are adorable. I used to have to bottle feed baby lambs when I was little. Sweetest thing ever.
