# 3

Tonight was fun and another first for our little family!
Tonight was Addie Grace's fist T-ball game.
And oh, did she look adorable.
Even though the xxs pants were WAY too big
and her tiny top swallowed her.
 She looked absolutely perfect! :-)

She was given the awesome #3 jersey.

She thought that was cool

since she's 3 years old!

This is Kayden.

Super sweet.

They're also in the same Sunday School class at church.

They like to pal around on the field.

 

Addie was in a mood tonight.

She didn't want to wear her glove,

or put on the helmet to hit,

or play the field.

She wanted to be held.

 

And play in the dirt. 

But she loved playing with Kayden.

 

 

Our little Addie Grace

is spunky.

And marches to her own beat.

 

 

I was out on the field helping

{taking pictures}

and would tell Addie,

the next one is yours...get ready!!

And the next kid would hit the ball

and another team mate would field the ball.

This went on through several batters.

Finally she said,

"I have on my fast shoes,

and they don't

but they keep getting my balls first!"

She couldn't figure out why her "fast shoes" were failing her!

 

 

Addie decided she didn't want a turn at bat.

At all.

Because she didn't want to wear a helmet.

And she was adamant about it.

During the second round

I "encouraged" her to try.

I can be quite persuasive when needed :-)

She did awesome and hit the ball

and looked like a bobble head running those bases

with a helmet much too big for her.

But I guess after running to first,

then to second,

and on around to third

made her quite tired.

Because she strolled her way home.

Everyone was cheering her on

as she leisurely walked to home plate.

Yep, she makes up her own rules!

 

At the end of the game,

they practiced good sportsmanship.

 

 

All in all,

her first game

{although exhausting for the adults}

went really well!

Already looking forward to her next game!!
