Anticipation

There was much anticipation

heading into Friday night.

But I'm not sure who was more excited...

the girls or us!

Crista and Addie Grace were invited to

spend the night at Uncle Marcus and Aunt Ashlie's house

for the very first

{and hopefully not last}

time.

They were beside themselves with excitement

and the "I go to Aunt Ashlie's house now?" from Addie

and the "When is Uncle Marcus going to be here?" from Crista

were constant and nearly enough to drive this Mama crazy!

But we managed to pack their suitcase, get their sleeping bags,

and have close by all of the Lovies and baby dolls

that are needed for a night away from Mama & Daddy.

And then they waited.

 

 

My sources tell me they had a ball,

stayed up WAY past their bedtime,

woke up extra early for Uncle Marcus & Aunt Ashlie,

and played hard all day.

They had a great time!

 

 

Meanwhile,

this Mama & Daddy planned a special night out,

SANS KIDS!!

We've been trying for the past 3 anniversaries to

take an overnight trip to Charleston.

The first year we felt the kids were just too young to leave,

the second Addie decided to spend 6 nights in the hospital,

so our trip was cancelled.

And this year,

well,

work called and I ended up having to photograph a wedding

so once again we were not able to go up to Charleston.

Instead,

we decided on a fabulous night out at a swanky sushi bar

and coming home to a clean and quiet house.

We slept in and made a wonderful breakfast

and just lounged all morning.

It was fabulous and the perfect way to

celebrate our 10th anniversary!
